Mercedes comes to us after five years in the Missoula public school system. Her interest in the field sparked way back in 6th grade, when she became friends with a classmate with a developmental disability. She works with kids with autism in our Missoula Learning Center.
Favorite Part: I love that we get to be super silly and be around kids all day.
Standout Moment: Probably when I finally passed my RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) exam. That was a test in more ways than one.
A Thing I’ve Learned: That flexibility is key, because we aren’t sure exactly what to expect each day.
Off the Clock: I love to spend time with my husband, son, and family. We are very adventurous with our free time.
Little Known Fact: I’m obsessed with Highlander Cows. I also have 15 brothers and sisters, due to my parents being divorced and remarried.
