Children’s Waiver Services

Kids of all abilities need support to do well in school, make friends, participate in activities they enjoy and pursue their goals. To support your child with exceptional needs, your family may need some extra help. This is what Children’s Waiver Services is all about.

What are Children’s Waiver Services?

In partnership with Montana’s Developmental Disabilities Program, the Child Development Center provides funding and case management through the 0208 Comprehensive Medicaid Waiver. This waiver is for children who have developmental disabilities with intensive, lifelong needs. “Waiver” means that your family’s income is not a factor for eligibility. We work with families whose children have the 0208 Waiver until it is time for us to assist with the transition to adult services. This is called our Children’s Waiver Services program.

For more information about Montana’s Developmental Disabilities Programs, see their “Guide to Success.” It will help you understand our state’s disability services and system. Information specific to the 0208 Waiver is found on page eight.
